In a hugely important match on route to World Cup place, Nepal beat Bermuda by 21 runs to ensure, they had a good chance to making to the World Cup in Bangladesh. In their final match of Group Stage, Nepal had to beat Bermuda and wait for results of other matches to ensure, they finished third in the group. Nepal coming in to bat first made a good looking 148, with Gyanendra Malla top scoring with 39 and Subash Khakurel scoring , Pradeep Airee put a good 22 while Sagar Pun managed 19 runs. Malachi Jones had the best bowling figures for Bermuda of 18/2, while Allan Douglas II and Kamal Bashir also managed a brace.
Coming down to chase 148, Bermuda had shakiest of start with 4 batsmen leaving back for the pavillion with just 15 runs on the board. However they managed to make a good comeback and put 127 runs on the board, which was still 21 runs short of what was required. Jitendra Mukhiya managed to scalp 3 wickets while captain Paras and Avinash Karn managed to take 2 wickets each. Janeiro Tucker top scored for Bermuda with 48 runs.
With the match being won and Kenya loosing to Afghanistan and also Scotland not getting a huge win against Denmark, Nepal stand third on the group by Net Run Rate, which means they will face the runner-up's of group A "HongKong" on 27th of November. If they manage to beat HongKong, they will book a place to the T20 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh in 2014. However if they do not manage to take a win out of the match, they will have one more chance, where they will compete against the winner between, Namibia and PNG. Winning that match would also secure their place to the T20 World Cup.
